Marianne worked as a political advisor to Minister of State Mr. Lacina in the Federal Chancellery, in the Ministry of Trade and as a Chief of Cabinet in the Ministry of Agriculture. She then moved to Bank Austria, the largest commercial bank in Austria, where she worked nearly 20 years as chief economist.
Her work on the transition of the CEE countries is widely recognized. She also supervised the bank’s EU affairs department and, after a series of mergers, ended up doing the same job for Unicredito. She left the bank in 2008.
She was called upon by the European Parliament to be an expert for the ECON Committee a few years ago and is still to this day a member of an advisory Committee to Commissioner Potočnik and of various financial industries associations. |

Nick Bromfield |

Senior Advisor, British Nick qualified as a UK solicitor. Until 2008 he worked for Lovells LLP in its Competition and EU Law practice, including 19 years in Brussels (1985-2004) and 19 years as a partner (1989-2008).
He brings a wealth of experience of competition proceedings and policy, and also has a strong background in anti-dumping and trade law matters. Nick is based near Canterbury in England, and represents Avisa’s competition practice in the UK. He also plays a key role on trade matters.

Marc worked his whole career in the private multinational chemical and energy industry (Montedison and Norsk Hydro) where over the years he completed several disciplines. As a chemical engineer he started his career in research, moved then to production as responsible for a production unit.
As a next step in his career he became responsible for contracting and purchasing of the raw materials. From 1974 till 1979 he worked in the engineering department as project manager for two important chemical and petrochemical projects. In 1980 he created an I.T department and was responsible for the introduction of computer systems in several company Units in Europe and in the US.
Finally he moved to the PR discipline where he spent the last 15 years of his career as the Vice-President Public and EU Affairs for the Norwegian ‘Norsk Hydro Group’.

Juan has worked since 1990 on European communication projects and has covered several disciplines over the years.
He rapidly took charge of the communication outputs and activities of the Adapt & Employment Technical Assistance Office of the European Commission as a freelance consultant.
From 1997 to 2000 he was in charge of INFEURO, the official EU publication on the changeover to the euro for Commissioner de Silguy's cabinet which is widely regarded as one outstanding success of the EC in terms of communication.
Most recently, Juan has been the Managing Director of Tipik, which he turned into Brussels' leading institutional communication firm with more than 150 employees.
Juan speaks English, French and Spanish, and has a working knowledge of Italian and Dutch.

He headed NYSE Euronext European Affairs team, advocating the interest of the Group vis-à-vis EU institutions, diplomatic missions, associations and other European Actors. Antonio provided strategic advice to its senior management and was a very active member of Federation of European Securities Exchanges (FESE) where he was part of the Management Committee and chaired the Global Cross-Sectoral Issues task force.
Before Euronext, Antonio worked 6 years in the City.
